September 20, 2013 - Diamondbacks at Rockies
Big fireworks night, literally and figuratively, with 3 home team homeruns, including one from the pitcher Chacin, 2 visiting team homeruns, a 9-4 Rockies win, and a Coors-field special fireworks night. Photos copyright Getty Images 2013.

August 30, 2013 - Reds at Rockies
Todd Helton went 2-4 with two three-run homeruns for his 2,498th and 2,499th career hits, but couldn't pull off a three-homerun night despite a two-on chance in the ninth. The Rockies beat up on the Reds in this first game of three, 9-6. Photos copyright Getty Images 2013.

August 12, 2013 - Padres at Rockies
The Rockies got to Edinson Volquez early and won this rainy game early for Jhoulys Chacin, who was excellent through eight innings. Photos copyright Getty Images 2013.

July 25, 2013 - Marlins at Rockies
Two games were wrapped into one in this Thursday afternoon matchup, around a 90 minute rain delay. The first 6 1/2 innings featured dominant pitching on both sides and no scoring. The second half featured a run on a wild pitch, and four subsequent runs on the Rockies shaky relievers. Very few pictures were made in the first 6 1/2, and lots presented themselves at the end. Unfortunately for the crowd, the visiting team had the better time after the rain delay, and the Marlins beat the Rockies 5-3. Photos copyright Getty Images 2013.

May 5, 2013 - Rays at Rockies
According to a new acquaintance, Mark Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times, Joe Maddon likes to tell reporters that he doesn't mind "meat loafing" teams, or, is pretty happy winning 2 out of 3 games ("two out of three ain't bad"). Jhoulys Chacin had a rough day on the mound and the Rockies fall on an overcast Sunday afternoon. All photos copyright Getty Images 2013.

August 21, 2011 - Dodgers at Rockies
The light was PERFECT - but I didn't get anything I thought was great. Lots of perfectly fine "stock" images of the players doing what they do. Here's a couple.

August 15, 2011 - Marlins at Rockies
Jason Giambi sends the 3rd pitch he sees well clear of the right field wall.
And since it's the bottom of the 9th inning, he gets a warm reception at home plate.

June 28, 2011 - White Sox at Rockies
Hitting coach Carney Lansford and Colorado Rockies first baseman Jason Giambi (23) discuss hitting approach.
Fun game. I like extra innings and walk off hits.

August 24, 2010 - Braves at Rockies
The "Rookie Bullpen Guy" for most teams gets to sport a Hello Kitty or Dora or Hannah Montana backpack as they head out to the bullpen before the first pitch. Always pretty funny to see.
Jason Heyward has a pretty weird swing, actually. Whatever works.

Troy Tulowitzki made an aweful baserunning error, and it probably didn't help when Jason Heyward ran by him and offered a little pat on the back.
