Had fun shooting pictures of Amanda and her awesome family.

November 12, 2011 - Arizona at Colorado

Running back Tony Jones celebrates a nice TD catch & run. The Buffs would never trail the Wildcats. The final score was 48-29 for the home team.

Jon Major crushes an Arizona running back for a loss of yards.

Tyler Hansen with a TD reception from fellow senior running back Rodney Stewart for what would end up being the "winning touchdown."

October 22, 2011 - Oregon at Colorado

Oregon Ducks wide receiver Lavasier Tuinei (80) is inches short of a touchdown. The play was initially ruled a touchdown but was then overturned. The photographer thought that Tuinei broke the plane before being down.

The Ducks barely needed any kind of team solidarity between halves of the game. The team "put the brakes on" in the second half and ended up with a 45-2 win over the Buffaloes.

A Colorado running back is swarmed.

Oregon cheerleaders didn't feel the urge to cheer during the fourth quarter.

Superfans.

October 15, 2011 - Boise State at Colorado State

I made the quick trip up to Fort Collins to catch fifth ranked Boise State Broncos do their thing at Sonny Lubick Field.

Doug Martin basically willed the defenders to fall onto their faces on the artificial turf.

Kellen Moore had 330+ yards passing in just over two quarters, and came off the field happy after connecting for one of four touchdown passes.

Defender Billy Winn with some sort of "Bronco" signal.

The sunset was blue and orange, and not for the NFL Broncos...

Cam the Ram "thought my camera was food" according to the handlers.

Coach Chris Peterson has a word with his Heisman-candidate quarterback.

September 24, 2011 - UFC 135 - Jones vs. Rampage

Jon Jones gets Rampage into a naked chokehold for the win.

Rampage lands a left.

Jones lands a kick.

Rampage hams it up.

Josh Koscheck beats Matt Hughes senseless for the win.

Ben Rothwell doesn't look too good after his loss to Mark Hunt.

Mark Hunt has Ben Rothwell bloodied and on the ground.

Round 2.

Mark Hunt is tended to as the Octagon girl makes it around the Octagon.

Jon Jones defeated Rampage in 4 rounds.

September 19, 2011 - Padres at Rockies

Last game of 2011 MLB for me.

Millwood pitches as the sun sets over Coors and the season.

The ball bounces off the helmet of Cameron Maybin, as Rosario misses the tag.

September 18, 2011 - Giants at Rockies

Mid-season acquisition Carlos Beltran has been fine, but the Giants hopes to repeat are gone.

Sandoval hits his 2nd homerun of the inning, after hitting a triple in his first at bat.

September 17, 2011 - CU vs. CSU

Colorado State scored first, but Colorado prevailed.

Tyler Hansen rushed for a pair of touchdowns. Here, he celebrates his third quarter TD.

September 15, 2011 - Giants at Rockies

1) Homerun

2) Double

3) Single

4) Triple

I've now seen three cycles at Coors Field, beginning with Tulowitzki's vs the Cubs in 2009, Cargo's cycle against the Cubs in 2010 with a walk-off homerun, and now, Panda's in 2011 off of Jhoulys Chacin. There have been 292 cycles in the history of Major League Baseball.

September 10, 2011 - Cal at Colorado

Colorado's first home game as a member of the PAC 12, against a PAC 12 team, though this one was considered non-conference.

No QB controversy this year. Hansen looks pretty solid and isn't afraid to rush for yards when a play falls apart.

High scoring game. Here, running back C.J. Anderson finds the endzone, awkwardly.

Cal's wide receiver Marvin Jones is tackled by Colorado Buffaloes defensive back Ray Polk

September 9, 2011 - Reds at Rockies

"Cuban flamethrower" Aroldis Chapman - I've been waiting to shoot the lefty's dramatic delivery.

Jim Tracy argues balls and strikes, and is ejected.

September 7, 2011 - Diamondbacks at Rockies

Wilin Rosario had his first MLB homerun, but the diamondbacks showed the NL West winning form.

September 5, 2011 - Diamondbacks at Rockies

Nice light and several plays at second base and home plate. What more can I ask for?

August 29, 2011 - Sports Illustrated

Had a shot in this week's Sports Illustrated that ran too big for my scanner. Nyjer Morgan lays a bunt down in the August 17 game at Coors Field and lands me my biggest published picture of baseball yet.

Nice too that it was the cover story:

August 28, 2011 - USA Pro Cycling Challenge - Stage 6 - Golden to Denver

Pro cycling finally back in Colorado. I caught the final stage and decided to shoot it as well.

The big boys, Leipheimer, Danielson, Van Garderen, Cadel Evans, on Lookout Mountain. Great crowd.

Evans and Danielson take a downhill section towards Denver. This was a scary photo position. These guys were full-tilt at this point.

The peleton on Broadway in Denver. Unbelievable crowd gathered to watch these guys take 6 laps of the 4.7 mile course through downtown.

Oscar Sevilla leads the breakaway group past a great coffee shop.

Leipheimer held on to his 11 second margin over Christian Vandevelde to take the inaugural race.
