November 20, 2010 - Kansas State at Colorado

Rodney "Speedy" Stewart on a 51-yard touchdown run. Whipped the shorter lens around just in time to focus and grab a nice shot.


Senior day, and Jimmy Smith wore a Lei to "honor" the new coach, Brian Cabral.

Ralphie drools.

November 13, 2010 - Iowa State at Colorado

Iowa State had about one impressive drive, after their starting quarterback limped off the field with an apparent leg injury. Here a receiver acts like he is breaking a tackle before he falls down.

Starting QB Austen Arnaud got the benefit of a "forward progress" call before losing the football in a play that wuld have resulted in 7 points against.

October 9, 2010 - Colorado State at Air Force

Air Force, ranked #25 in the AP poll going into this game - is having a great season. I'd never shot at Falcon Stadium so was a little out of my element, but it worked out. Air Force won easily, and improved to #23 in the poll with the win over the Rams.

September 28, 2010 - Dodgers at Rockies

Rockies were eliminated with a disappointing loss to the Dodgers. Rookie infielder Chris Nelson made a nice play on the infield.




Tulowitzki struck out to end the Rockies' playoff hopes. 4 games left to play, none of any consequence.

September 24, 2010 - Giants at Rockies

Giants are playoff bound, thanks to these guys. Lincecum and Wilson 2-hit the Rockies and would seal the division win on the last day of the regular season.

September 15, 2010 - Padres at Rockies

At this point, there was a chance. It was fun to watch the boys, you know, try. Go Giants.

September 14, 2010 - Padres at Rockies

'nuff said.

August 28, 2010 - Dodgers at Rockies

Home plate umpire Marty Foster ejects the pitcher Ronald Belisario, as catcher Rod Barajas pleads his case.


Ramirez put on a little show for me, despite appearing only as a pinch hitter and striking out. The next day, he would be ejected after one pitch for his last at bat as a Dodger.

August 27, 2010 - Dodgers at Rockies

Even if the Rockies were in the game up to that point, Casey Blake's 8th inning slam shut the door on the home team.


Former Rockie Scott Podsednik scrambles back to the bag. He's had decent success with the White Sox, Royals and Dodgers after kind of sucking with the Rockies back in 2008.

August 25, 2010 - Braves at Rockies

August day games can be very good. Much better than June day games. With good light and a team I've already shot twice, I look for some out-of-the norm stuff. Especially when the home team is down 10-1 in the 3rd inning. It ended up being a pretty special game, though, as the Rockies rallied beginning in the 6th inning to eventually win 12-10 against a strong Braves team.


The ballpark as Todd Helton sees it.


"Long reliever" Manuel Corpas is checked out by "team doctor" Ubaldo Jimenez after a terrible couple of innings. Corpas left the game in the 4th inning after pitching parts of three innings, giving up 3 earned runs, and with the score 10-1 against...

August 24, 2010 - Braves at Rockies

The "Rookie Bullpen Guy" for most teams gets to sport a Hello Kitty or Dora or Hannah Montana backpack as they head out to the bullpen before the first pitch. Always pretty funny to see.

Jason Heyward has a pretty weird swing, actually. Whatever works.


Troy Tulowitzki made an aweful baserunning error, and it probably didn't help when Jason Heyward ran by him and offered a little pat on the back.

August 23, 2010 - Braves at Rockies

Rockies took the series opener 5-4. Braves manager Bobby Cox is in his last season, while Rookie of the Year candidate Jason Heyward is in his first.

August 3, 2010 - Giants at Rockies

The Giants whooped up on the Rockies a little - 10-0 and a 3-hitter. Somehow I had several images of the Giants feeling dejected. I guess I'll post these to try and jinx them a little.

July 31, 2010 - Cubs at Rockies

Very nice night at Coors, and full crowd on hand for the Cubs. Saturday 6:10 starts are the best. I took a field trip for this.


The hop was all over the place Saturday. I caught these...




The Rockies' 6th team cycle, and 2nd in a row in two years against the Cubs. Gonzalez with a walk-off homer in the 9th to complete it.

July 27, 2010 - Pirates at Rockies

I saw Hammel and Jimenez practicing jedi Tricks.

Section 130ish... Everyone is fine.

July 10, 2010 - Padres at Rockies

July and August provide some nice sunsets. The Padres may be leading the NL west, but I still think they are a pretty boring team, so I'll take an opportunity like this to check the stadium out from up high.

Caught a day game in July, and Carlos Gonzalez was unable to catch this bloop that fell for a single.

I'm always looking for the details that not everyone gets to see. Utility infielder and all-around character Felipe Lopez has some nice ink on his forearms.

I had several images in the 2010 Sports Illustrated College Football preview issue - including 2 of the 3 images on the cover. The shots of the Missouri quarterback and the Colorado receiver were both taken during the Missouri at Colorado game last fall.
