Had a shot in this week's Sports Illustrated that ran too big for my scanner. Nyjer Morgan lays a bunt down in the August 17 game at Coors Field and lands me my biggest published picture of baseball yet.
Nice too that it was the cover story:

August 28, 2011 - USA Pro Cycling Challenge - Stage 6 - Golden to Denver
Pro cycling finally back in Colorado. I caught the final stage and decided to shoot it as well.
The big boys, Leipheimer, Danielson, Van Garderen, Cadel Evans, on Lookout Mountain. Great crowd.
Evans and Danielson take a downhill section towards Denver. This was a scary photo position. These guys were full-tilt at this point.
The peleton on Broadway in Denver. Unbelievable crowd gathered to watch these guys take 6 laps of the 4.7 mile course through downtown.
Oscar Sevilla leads the breakaway group past a great coffee shop.
Leipheimer held on to his 11 second margin over Christian Vandevelde to take the inaugural race.

August 23, 2011 - Astros at Rockies
Round two of the craziness. Astros score two without getting a ball out of the infield in one frame. Rockies answer by scoring a run without getting a hit in the other other half frame.

When you come see the Astros play the Rockies in late August, you get what you pay for. Crazy game full of weird dramatic action, not clean at all. Makes for an interesting picture, here and there.

August 21, 2011 - Dodgers at Rockies
The light was PERFECT - but I didn't get anything I thought was great. Lots of perfectly fine "stock" images of the players doing what they do. Here's a couple.

August 17, 2011 - Marlins at Rockies
Marlins shortstop Emilion Bonifacio wasn't thrilled with the first few innings of the game, and was pulled early.
Carlos Gonzalez round the bases after piling on some more runs. Rockies took this one 12-5.

Jason Giambi sends the 3rd pitch he sees well clear of the right field wall.
And since it's the bottom of the 9th inning, he gets a warm reception at home plate.
