Probably (and hopefully) the biggest press conference I'll cover. Very happy the Broncos won the Manning sweepstakes and was glad to cover this one. But, a press conference is a press conference. I shot for the mainstream user but found some nice moments.

March 10, 2012 - Oilers at Avalanche

Ryan Smyth celebrates a first period goal that wasn't enough, as Paul Stastny stumbles over his own goalie Semyon Varlamov looking dejected, confused.

18 year old Ryan Nugent-Hopkins proves that hyphenated last names can be cool. That kid looks young.


Overtime shootout win for the Avalanche despite a solid game from the Oilers young forwards and veteran Ryan Smyth. First star went to goalie Varlamov who had a great game behind his team.

March 3, 2012 - Penguins at Avalanche

The goalies were in on the intimidation in this 5-1 Penguins blowout.

Avalanche goalie Jean-Sebastien Giguere (35) fights with Penguins left wing Matt Cooke (24) and earns a penalty for the Avalanche.

Penguins defenseman Deryk Engelland (5) shoves Avalanche right wing Steve Downie (27) after Downie shoved Penguins goalie Marc-Andre Fleury (29).
