New York Islanders came to town and beat the Avalanche 2-1 on a Friday night.

January 8, 2014 - Senators at Avalanche

The Avalanche spoiled former goalie Craig Anderson's return to the Pepsi Center with a 4-3 overtime win.

January 2, 2014 - Flyers at Avalanche

By my photos, this was the Varly show, and indeed it was. The Avalanche beat visiting Steve Downie and the Philly Flyers 2-1 on this hot night in January.

December 19, 2013 - Oilers at Avalanche

I always enjoy shooting the Oilers, regardless of their record, for the young players and for the classic style. They play good hockey and the games in Denver always seem close. The Avalanche would take this one, though.

December 16, 2013 - Stars at Avalanche

I enjoyed shooting this "new rivalry" game which is "new" due to the re-alignment of the NHL conferences for this season. I also enjoyed the new uniforms of the visiting Stars. The Avalanche handled the Stars and I shot a late-game photo of the Avalanche Ice Girls sweeping around frustrated goalie Kari Lehtonen.

December 10, 2013 - Coyotes at Avalanche

Can't lie and say I don't enjoy some sprayed ice, as well as being around and watching the girls who clear it for us during the commercial breaks.Glad the Avalanche brought some ice girls to Denver, and I think they enjoy their job.

November 10, 2013 - Capitals at Avalanche

The Avalanche continued their early season winning ways against the visiting capitals, who featured the diva flopper Alex Ovechkin this particular evening. At one point Ovie lied against the boards motionless for about a minute after tripping over Jan Hejda, before getting up, skating to the bench, and taking his next shift. Nice win for the Avs.

November 6, 2013 - Predators at Avalanche

The Predators visited the Pepsi Center for the second time in the young season and managed a 6-4 win.

October 17, 2013 - Red Wings at Avalanche

In one of very few early losses for the Avalanche, Niklas Kronwall got hit hard and I personally had a Macbook retina laptop stolen in the second period. After discovering the loss, I did not stay to the end to shoot the Avalanche lose, and I was thankful for Dropbox, which was my primary backup for my work and recent files. Lame night for this photographer, but all ended up fine thanks to good buddy Ron and his insurance services. Contact me for details.

October 4, 2013 - Predators at Avalanche

The Avalanche went off and opened the season with a 14-2 record through November 10 (they are 17-5 as of this writing). I caught this win over the Predators and their highly-rated rookie, Seth Jones.

April 27, 2013 - Wild at Avalanche

Last minute assignment to shoot the Wild as they attempt to make the playoffs with either a victory and/or a Blue Jackets loss, both occur, and the Wild go back to Minnesota happy. The word in the arena was that this would be Milan Hejduk's last NHL game, so I watched for chances to shoot him as well.

April 5, 2013 - Red Wings at Avalanche

Exciting game for all in attendance, though the Red Wings were never behind and ended up scoring the game winner in OT with less than a minute to play. Datsyuk and Zetterberg had some of the niftiest goals I've ever seen. Red ings fans always bring the noise, though the home crowd had a very nice "Red Wings Suck" chant going in the third period. These games always have way-above-average energy and I enjoy that. Thanks for looking.

March 20, 2013 - Stars at Avalanche

Stars visit, I take some pictures. Jaromir Jagr is still playing well in his veteran way.

March 12, 2013 - Oilers at Avalanche

The Avalanche came out flat this time against the Oilers, and the only puck that ended up behind the Oilers goalie was called off due to Landeskog's presence in the crease. I always enjoy shooting the Oilers thanks to all their young stars and the energy they bring with them from the great white north.
