September 29, 2012 - UCLA at Colorado

Even if none of the capacity crowd thought the home team could win, they showed up and cheered them on. UCLA struck early and often on their way to a 42-14 win over Colorado, behind redshirt freshman quarterback Brett Hundley, who had two rushing touchdowns and a passing touchdown in the win.

September 23, 2012 - Diamondbacks at Rockies

The last nail is in the coffin for the 2012 Colorado Rockies. Another Sunday loss, this time to the Diamondbacks, who beat the Rockies with decent pitching and a late 3-run bomb from Aaron Hill, which incidentally also helped me win a close fantasy baseball showdown netting me $100 that I wouldn't have won otherwise. September 8, 2012 - Sacramento State at Colorado

Despite holding a lead late into the fourth quarter, Colorado would lose in somewhat embarrassing fashion to Big Sky Conference "powerhouse" Sacramento State. Colorado made quarterback Garrett Safron look like a Division 1 stud. They'll want to forget this home loss. For me, it was mostly just a warm-up game, with no big players to shoot besides a few Colorado defenders. It was a big win for the Hornets and QB Mason Magleby, who held the ball on the game-winning field goal, made some good jube at the end.

September 3, 2012 - Rangers at Royals

I had been assigned to shoot two Royals games but Hurrican Isaac parked itself on Kansas City friday night and they deferred the game. I got to see a good one on Monday, though, as Yu Darvish went 5 2/3 perfect innings and the Rangers hit five homeruns on the way to an 8-4 victory. Nelson Cruz was hit in the back by a pitch and started to storm the mound before both benches cleared. Kauffman is a nice stadium to shoot in, besides some of the distracting background elements. It's nice to be able to get a lower perspective for some shots. Nice group of guys working over there as well.

August 24-26 2012 - Katie and Ed

In what was easily the most creative wedding reception I've been to, Katie and Ed and their parents hosted a three-day celebration at their property in the small town of Shelton, Washington, where Ed and family run a veterinarian clinic. The party culminated in a Saturday night toga party reception. Five and a half kegs of beer were consumed and eggs were thrown by rugby players. The campfire burned late into the night, and the Kiwi licked his spilt beer from the cement. Hokie the cyclist made an appearance, and everyone enjoyed themselves. Dawson learned to crawl. Awesome weekend.
