April 13, 2013 - Kathy and Trevor Price Wedding at Mile High

I had the wonderful honor of shooting a colleague's wedding at the home of the Denver Broncos for my first wedding assignment in over five years, and it felt great. After spending the last year or two admiring the work of fellow shooters, most significantly, Justin's and Sam's, I was ready to dive back in to this type of shooting and I'm really happy with the set I made.

Kathy and Trevor somehow had access to the entirety of Sports Authority Field at Mile High, including the field, the locker rooms, the underbelly, the seats, and the Champions' Club, where the ceremony and reception were held. We had a great time making pictures all over the stadium, and everyone enjoyed the beautiful, simple, and intimate ceremony and reception.

A special thanks to young Jackson, the two-year-old blonde kid above, who, has a great eye and was really fun to shoot the reception with. I have to give the him the props he deserves, too, since the image above of the groom Trevor and his daughter enjoying a moment on the dance floor was taken by this young dude.

My set reflects the uniqueness of the venue and the amount of fun that we all had and the laid-back attitude Kathy and Trevor both displayed on this wonderful spring day with their friends. I wish them a lifetime of happiness together.

November 18, 2012 - Tyler-Moran Wedding

I had the distinct privilege of shooting Mike and Meghan's wedding without actually having to shoot it all myself. I worked as a third-string fringe photographer and enjoyed the perks of being an honorary groomsman and Moran after his family took me in as one of my own. I almost re-wrote the definition of wedding crasher and had a blast, and hopefully helped the couple remember the day. The full set of images can be seen here.

August 24-26 2012 - Katie and Ed

In what was easily the most creative wedding reception I've been to, Katie and Ed and their parents hosted a three-day celebration at their property in the small town of Shelton, Washington, where Ed and family run a veterinarian clinic. The party culminated in a Saturday night toga party reception. Five and a half kegs of beer were consumed and eggs were thrown by rugby players. The campfire burned late into the night, and the Kiwi licked his spilt beer from the cement. Hokie the cyclist made an appearance, and everyone enjoyed themselves. Dawson learned to crawl. Awesome weekend.

August 11, 2012 - Polen/Calderwood Wedding

I decided to bring my camera with a 50mm f/1.8 lens and a flash to a friend's wedding, even though I was an invited guest and not an official photographer. My first self-assigned task was to shoot the group who was stuck at the base of the mountain waiting out a thunderstorm, which caused the ceremony to run about an hour late. The photographer they hired took off pretty early and I tried to supplement her coverage, including a fun trip to the base area bar "9280 Taphouse" for the after-party. Full gallery here.
