November 22, 2012 - Thanksgiving Weekend at Hocking Hills

Another year, another amazing get-together in a not-so-rustic cabin nestled in the Hocking Hills southeast of Columbus, Ohio. 31 people total made the trip, and as usual I assigned myself the task of documenting the weekend and trying to capture the variety of personalities in attendance. Cards were played and we ran out of whiskey a few times, and other than the fact that SOMEone has to lose "The Game" between Michican and Ohio State, good times were had by all for all four days we spent there. We went a day early to get out of town as a family and go to the Columbus Zoo.

November 18, 2012 - Tyler-Moran Wedding

I had the distinct privilege of shooting Mike and Meghan's wedding without actually having to shoot it all myself. I worked as a third-string fringe photographer and enjoyed the perks of being an honorary groomsman and Moran after his family took me in as one of my own. I almost re-wrote the definition of wedding crasher and had a blast, and hopefully helped the couple remember the day. The full set of images can be seen here.

November 10, 2012 - UNLV at Colorado State

It was cold and the seats nearly empty in Fort Collins as the visiting UNLV Rebels were shut out for 3 quarters. I had a good time trying to make some cold weather photos despite my frozen fingers and toes. I think I need to break out the thicker gloves for photography since the camera gets cold and your hands are barely moving at all. The player of the game may have been Donnell Alexander with 2 touchdowns on 21 carries and 139 yards, though the CSU defense helped the cause too with two interceptions returned for touchdowns.

November 3, 2012 - Stanford at Colorado

The visiting Stanford fans were unlucky last Saturday, in that the bulk of the Stanford scoring happened on the opposite end of the field from where they are relegated. Unsurprisingly, the Buffaloes took a beating at the hands of the 15th-ranked Cardinal, with a final score of 48-0 (beating the spread of 28 points handily). Last game in Boulder of the year for me, and I enjoyed seeing a few NFL-caliber players perform in this otherwise uninteresting matchup.

October 28, 2012 - Saints at Broncos

Manning and the Broncos looked like AFC contenders and professional football players in their 34-14 win over the disappointing 2012 Saints on Sunday night. Peyton's fourth quarter toss to Eric Decker (last picture above) put him in sole possession of the NFL record with the most games with at least three touchdowns and no interceptions, surpassing Brett Favre, with 37 (thanks Z for the heads up...). Brees barely passed for 200 yards but did get off a touchdown pass to Darren Sproles in the second quarter that kept his streak alive with 50 games in a row with at least one touchdown pass. October 26, 2011 - Nevada at Air Force

This Friday night game would come down to who could stop the most third down conversions, and the winner was the Air Force Falcons, who won 48-31. Quarterback Connor Dietz would convert two fourth-and-short situations himself, and the game featured only three punts, all by the visiting Wolf Pack. Air Force ran the ball an astounding 82 times and gained an average of 5.6 yards on each carry.

October 11, 2012 - Arizona State at Colorado

Colorado came out swinging in the first half, and a 10-point barrage in the closing minute of the first half had the home crowd hopeful... but.... as was expected the Sun Devils were able to amass a 3-TD lead plus more by the time the game was over. A late Colorado injury completely deflated the Colorado defense and the Sun Devils went home with a 51-17 win and likely top-25 rank after this Thursday night game.
