June 22, 2010 - Red Sox at Rockies
The opener of what would turn out to be a thrilling 3-game set with the "rival" Red Sox (2007 World Series rematch and the battle over the color of the crowd). I shot the opener only and had a great time shooting the iconic players from Mass. 2-1 win for the Rockies against a sharp Jon Lester. Jhoulys Chacin made the Red Sox look like the Nationals as they failed repeatedly to get past first base or even on it. The entire series had a playoff atmosphere. And the Boston on-field reporter, Heidi Watney, is pretty special too. I learned from googling her that she was a past beauty queen of some kind and pictures of her in a bathing suit are available n the internet(s). Got a kick out of hanging in the photo bay with her.

June 19, 2010 - Brewers at Rockies
Wild seesaw game, with Seth Smith coming through when he was needed with a two-run homer and the bullpen getting out of a pretty crazy top-of-the-ninth 3-run homer and another jam to hold on to an 8-7 win. Great light and great action, and the Major League debut of infielder Chris Nelson who made an immediate impact with his home plate collision and run (below).

June 8, 2010 - Astros at Rockies
The Rockies gave 3 of 4 to the Astros, including the June 8 game. Decent light and decent action, and a homerun ball snagged over the left field wall by Astros outfielder Jason Michaels.

May 27, 2010 - Diamondbacks at Rockies
Day games are usually gorgeous, but direct sunlight over the players heads can make things a little more difficult. Not a lot from this game looked great to me, but I had a couple of decent shots.
Giambi started at first, as he has been for the day games.
Tulowitzki celebrating one of several recent homeruns.
